Conn47D24 Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 I need help please searching part #'s . My D24 parts Book show the correct radiator # to be: 973695 ( or 976211 high altitude ) The one in my car is # 947825 I pick up a spare recently, # 899092 None of my parts books, or online searches tell me what the #'s are from. Were they superseded #'s ?? Anyone with a deeper resource library would you take a look and see what I have here? Thank you Quote
Young Ed Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 I've had trouble identifying radiators by number before too. My conclusion at the time is that the number in the top tank is either a part# or stamping # that applies only to the top tank and not to the radiator assembly. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 my D24 parts book shows the same info but the 'mopar streamliner ' book shows the 976211 as application for 42 Dodge....maybe in 42 they made but the one radiator for all applications with a bit of military ruggedness/capacity twist to it.. Conn47D24 Posted June 10, 2016 Author Report Posted June 10, 2016 ThanKS Guys. They are identical so in practice it's all the same. Just curious since several parts books don't show these #'s. Who knows the history of these cars. Before they were collected, they were just cars. Parts must have been swapped . Quote
