Went out for a cup of coffee

Drove up to the Roscoe Diner for a cup of coffee this morning.  I took Rt 17 West up, then came back via old Rt 17, stopped in Livingston Manor to cross the Van Tran covered bridge that was built in 1865.  There were snow flurries in Roscoe, but it was nice an toasty in the Plymouth.  Just a nice morning to go for a ride

Thanks Bob for your many pictures.  Somehow I always confused New York with New York City and your

photography has set me straight.

Time to get my 40 out for a run too.    dp

Gotta love those country roads. I love the pictures of all the great scenery on your drive. This place looks like a very nice place to live and burn up the roads in an old car. I will take a trip one day in my 48 Plymouth when I have the time and the money to get away but down here in the Gulf coast we haven't got many country roads with that kind of beauty to take in. I also love the car. Is the car original with engine or did you replace the flat head?

Larry. I have a rebuilt 1950 Plymouth engine in it.  When we got it in 1988 it had a 1941 Plymouth engine, which finally gave up the ghost a few years ago.  I have done body work to her and my son painted her 16 years ago.  She is basically stock other than the tires and wheels  The paint we used was Rustoleum  Teal, and over the course  of the past 16 years the paint has aged well and I love the Patina that it now has, along with the scratches and dulled paint.

She is one beauty of a car. I hope my 48 will be as dependable as yours so I can rely on her on a long trip.

Went  to visit my young friend Mike who is thrashing on a Suburban to drive to Canada this Summer.  We have coffee and kick tires 'bout once a week.

We live in So Cal's urban sprawl.  But for those who think So Cal is all concrete, traffic and smog, this is what you get by going the back way at 8:30 Monday morning,  It's just three miles from my house and less than two miles from I-5

The canopy was because of the liquid sunshine!   :o
