Todd B Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 Does not feel like Christmas because we still have not gotten any snow in the middle of Wisconsin yet but it is here and gone. I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and New Year. 1 Quote
Ulu Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Oh, my Oh MY! We're having a rainy season this year! El Ninno The Christchild has come on a wave of warm air to save us from drought. My lawn lives! There will be bass fishing in the San Joaquin! And the farmers will grow stuff & make jobs for pickers and packers, for drivers and mechanics etc, and the whole economy grows and runs. For a big chunk of the population Rain is work here, and work is money, and we are blessed to have them all right now. We had a wonderful Christmas with all the Grandkids and my Mom and 21 of us (at least) for whom I cooked the roast beast. Our tiny company of 9 put on a great Christmas party, with presents for all; and we were one of the lucky one-in-six in America who actually gave out a Christmas bonus. In 22 years that I've been here, we've only had one bad year where there was but a token bonus. It is a blessing I don't deserve. I gave a substantial lump to Christmas Cheer and nice presents for everyone, plus money for all the kids, which makes me very popular. My wife got some home improvements she wanted, which makes me very popular, plus I bought a new rifle and a new pistol this month. To top it all off, we've all been working like crazy on the latest project, and we were able to wrap it up before Christmas and submit it. Now we're off until Jan 4, and the whole company is closed, so there will be time to go shooting and work in the garage. I hope you folks all had as nice a time! Edited December 28, 2015 by Ulu Quote
Dave72dt Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 We got snow here in the afternoon of the 24th, ground was white that evening and the morning of the 25th. most of it gone by the afternoon. I got to close the store a couple hours early on the 24th, came home to some of the grandkids, next day the rest of them except for one son and his family ( Christmas at her parents, we swap holidays with them), had way too much food, no fights or arguments and I got some garage time as well, putting some color on the bumper and rocker covers of the latest project. We'll take the new year in stride, roll with the punches and make it the best we can. Quote

Tones52 Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 Wishing everyone a great 2016 and thank you as well for all the help and advice provided in 2015. I closed the year with some newly made friends and Mopar owners, (some of whom are also on this forum) when I was invited to join in on a cruise of the Rose Parade route on New Year's Eve. Hopefully, they will make the SoCal Old Mopar Breakfast at Jeff's later this month. Again, have a Happy New Year!
