I have a 1949 Dodge B-1 with a busted exhaust manifold.  It is the 23" engine and am having a tough time locating a replacement.  Then when I took the engine to the shop for a rebuild it was found the intake is cracked as well.  Is there any other make engine that has manifolds interchangeable with the Dodge?   I have called and visited all the junk yards around me that I can find with no luck.  The intake could be brazed but the exhaust has several pieces missing.   Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have used Plymouth manifolds on my Dodge truck.  The manifolds off of a car will fit, but you have to drill and tap out the mounting holes for your linkage.  They have the thick bosses, but no mounting holes in them.

Ouch ! It's gunna Hurt !

Vintage Power Wagons should be able to fix you up...Good News looks like they are both included bad news $375 + Gaskets +

(and this is important) My bet is that your manifold was attached to your engine without the special manifold nuts and special brass washers as the original design/build calls for.

You can always wait forever and eventually you will find just about anything from eBay or other virtual junk yards.

Hope you find what you need either way, you would be wise to install your new manifolds with Vintage Power Wagons manifold kit.

Plymouth car stuff will work with the mods as pointed out above.  There are a couple differences to be mindful of.  Some exhausts exit behind #6 and some exit between 5 and 6 not insurmountable but something to be aware of.  And later cars lost the big lump of cast iron under the carb as the hood height came down with styling changes in the 50's.  Again not a fitment problem but could effect linkage angles and rod lengths.
