Copper crush washer for wheel cylinder question

Well the title says it all. I was in a little hurry when I put the new front wheel cylinders on and accidentally threw away the copper washers that go between the upper wheel cylinder and soft lines.

I want to buy new ones at the local hardware or auto parts store but have no idea what size to get. I tried calling Andy Bernbaum to see if they could tell me the sizes as that was where I ordered them from but I had luck.

Its this little guy thats giving me the problems.....

Check the size of the brake hose where it screws into the wheel cylinder, think they are 3/8th, maybe 7/16th but whatever get the size copper washer to suit, I have seen 2 types, with & without 2 or 3 raised ridges going around the washer, have tried to use the ones with the raised ridges as I understand these ridges are to help seal the area......dunno if this helps.........lol...........andyd

Lol! Thank you, I had no idea there were two different types. I guess it would of been too easy to disconnect one of the soft lines and take that to use as a reference as the store for the washer.

On Andy Bernbaum's site the front brake lines for your 51 and my 48 are the same part number.....so I think those will work  :D

You should look into getting a parts book for your 51 Chrysler. Just keying in the original Chrysler part number into the NAPA Online website with the “interchange” check box selected can bring up an amazing number of parts that you can get at your local store rather than mail order at a higher price from a specialty shop on the other side of the country.

In addition, lots of parts were used across many years, makes and models. If you have the Chrysler number you have a better shot at having someone come up with an interchange for you. For example, all my Plymouth interchange information at http://www.ply33.com/Parts/numeric   can be accessed by Chrysler part number.

Just wanted to share and say thank you to everyone for helping out and to Mlindblom... After picking up a few of those washers I found one of the ones that came with the wheel cylinders, so I was able to compare. Their exact, it seems one of the little packets blew under our lawnmower ramp and it decided to finally brake apart today revealing the clever hiding spot

And here is the original one (top) and the NAPA one (bottom)

And just for future reference anyone searching the threads, here is the screen shot of the NAPA part that I was just able to show the guy.
