Despite my many goof ups my little project is coming along  since I got the cab back. Still much to do in the way of decal  work and clear coat and cut and buff and all but I had to get it back to do some more work . So I though I would try to post a few pics of the in between stage.

Looks awesome.

What's going to go into the hole where the original gauge cluster was? I was thinking you were going to put the stereo in there with the speakers on either side, then I saw it in the glove box.

made a plate that goes in original rectangle gauge frame, not enough space for anything behind there so plate has the new chrome indian tank badge off a new chief...

I think I would have done the cut and buff before loading up the interior and exterior pieces.  It's a messy job and gets all over everything, hard to clean up.  Clearance lights are awesome, maybe a pin stripe to further separate the colors.  Nice job!

What did you put on the interior firewall?  Aftermarket won't fit the big hole you put in it and how well does the matting lay down over the trans hump?  I'm going to have similar problems to solve some day.

a big yes on the pinstripe the guy who sprayed it sprayed the different color sections a little at a time and then cleared it so got one heck of a tape line bump to cover was thinking black pinstripe.

the fire wall and kick panels and head liner are something called polywall sold at Home Depot at about 19.00 a sheet   I cheaped out on interior for now   since I knew I was going to remove it some day I only used Krylon plastic paint (mistake) should have used SEM. The stuff I used will never hold up. But I was getting crazy about seeing this thing on the road sooner rather than later.

I love the floor mat because it does lay good on a hump, the pic shows it needing to be trimmed again because of added thickness  of insulation and liner on the sides. It was a sponge type of mat sold by the roll at Lowes was a little higher about 56.00 but needed that material to match inlays cut outs.  I like the Clearance lights too but I think the Visor is what sets them off, can't do that till I get some glass in.

How come no room behind your original gauges? I fit my CD player in there quite nicely, and if you get the right Kenwood deck, their pretty shallow compared to the old decks. I couldn't live without tunes tho....that's why the passenger seat is 3-4" ahead of the drivers so the 2 10" subs and amps could fit.

because of the firewall inset the cowl vent mech had to be reworked, and there is a large motor for the Newport engineering electric wipers that had to be rotated from the original left facing position to right facing because of the dash mounted shifter. Add the fact that there is a rather large wire loom for the Hurricane AC and duct work   I never worked so hard to get so much behind the dash 10lbs of crap in 5 lb bag LOL   the stereo that is mounted in the pic is only 3" deep and is really too close to everything.
