Muffler

Hello all.

 

My Meadowbrook's muffler is starting to leak and looks pretty corroded. I wonder what the folks here use for replacement mufflers.

 

I am curious about 2 options:

 

1- Completely stock as far as sound.

2- Slightly louder so I can hear a bit of a burble when driving but not obnoxious.

I installed a Flowmaster 40 series muffler on my Desoto.  It is not loud at all, not "glasspack" like....more rumble and no droning or the least bit loud.  Look at videos on Youtube.

I used dual Red Hots on Lady Grey's split manifold. It turned out really good I feel, not overly loud, but plenty aggressive and burbly.

I used a "Magnaflow," different from a "Flowmaster." It has a pleasing quiet burble at idle. On the highway I hear tire noise and wind noise but no muffler noise.

just put on a thrush turbo muffler. $30. at local pep boys, had used one in the past, nice low rumble, very happy.
