greg g Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 We aquired this through an intervention from an animal hoarder. It came from a relative of a friend of my daughter's and may eventually end up as our daughter's dog, but in the meantime we are fostering it till she comes up for a visit in August. I believe my wife has already been accused of dog napping. We spent the weekend camping and she is an excellent traveller, spending her car time ensconced in her bed. Then she took command of the campsite warding off all intruders from bugs to 90# labradors. 30#'s of attitude in a 3# bag. She is a poodle, Yorkshire Terrier blend with the emphasis on terrier. Being in the company of several other animals her socialization to humans needs some work but she is coming along. Needless to say I only walk her after dark, our two previous dogs weighed in at 90 and 70 pounds respectively so this accessory dog will take some gitting used to. She is currently watching the monitor, and seems interested in all this car talk. Schmidgit says Hi!! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 I interveened in WV on a mountain road..a mother possum had been hit..looked to be dead three days minimum..carcass was bone and hair basically..three baby possums were still clinging on...I picked them up, fed them that night and again in the morning with a dropper...thank goodness WV DNR has drop off points for abandoned/injured animals...they accepted them that morning...they were all ears...just could not leave them beside the road Quote
Normspeed Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Looks like a nice little buddy. My bet says your daughter never gets the dog. Pooch looks pretty content right where she is. Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 I also stopped several times to take tarpons off the road...I hate to see little lizards, frogs and turtles hit on the road. Quote
