linus6948
My Buddy who built the cannon is also a 4x4 enthusiast and is now into his next project which is bobbing an old Army 21/2 ton truck. It involves removing the original rear box,and one of the rear axles, cutting the frame, installing larger wheels and tires and using the box off an Army M105 utility trailer. Yesterday with the help of a tow truck we lifted the 1000lb trailer box into position on the shortened truck frame. It went pretty well except for the wind and biting cold, we looked like a Carhartt commercial and there were some medicinal spirits involved to help fend off the chill. Don Coatney
Brings back memories of working on those duce and a half trucks in the Army. Seems like every time a truck left the motor pool for field work it came back with a ripped CV joint boot. Is that one equipped with a multi fuel engine?
mrwrstory
Very cool! Hot Rodding and Customizing involve the same mindset, it's only that the medium and extent of modification that may differ. Quality pics too, I might add.
linus6948
As far as I know Don it is a diesel, the truck has very low miles on it and the engine fired right up despite the cold temps and lack of glow plugs.
Merle Coggins
Reminds me of the FWD "pickup" I saw at the Wis Dells Automotion show last year.

Todd B
Reminds me of the FWD "pickup" I saw at the Wis Dells Automotion show last year. Very cool, the first FWD vehichle ever built started in my home town of Clintonville WI. My dad worked at FWD / Segrave for 43 years.
BobT-47P15
I guess you could say that is truly a "full size" pickup.

Yes Don I saw my buddy yesterday and this truck does indeed have the multi fuel engine in it.
mlozier76
Oh man that brings back some memories. The ones I drove in Iraq and Kuwait were an older M35A2, with the super skinny widowmaker rims and dually, not a bit of power steering....My forearms got pretty big in the sandbox. I've always wanted to get one of those, but don't have the land to warrant it. Love the look with the super singles and the box. It makes it look like one bad a#$ pickup truck. Not like those Ford or GMC Kodiak Wannabees.
