I have about ten thousand questions and if I can get a hundred answered by you guys I'll be doing good. I have a '52 B3B that I have been restoring for quite some time (pics later) and theres a few things I need some help with. I just recently picked up a flat head for it from craigslist, it come from a coronet so the floor started won't be used. For the transmission I have a three speed floor shifter from a 1937 dodge bros. that I bought. So the quiestions...for now.. where would you all recomend buying a clutch, pressure plate etc.. from? And if I'm thinking correct I would buy it to fit the 37 trans instead of the 52.

Any input I greatly appreciate, I will post more later after work (if I remember). Most of my questions will be where to order parts from. I found out quick that parts aren't readily available. Thanks for the help!

Unless you have the 37 Dodge bell housing I don't think the 37 dodge 3 speed floor shifter trans will work on a later model bell housing. The trans cover with the stick shifter on a 37 hangs over onto a flat spot on the bell housing. See the attached photo of my 38 dodge 3 speed. Same as a 37.

I just recently bought a motor with a fluid drive trans for $170. Alabama is bit far to drive for me. Plus I have two sets of pedals, one original to the truck and one set from the 37. Thanks for lookin out!

I just tried putting the original steel wheels on, and i remembered that the front and rear wheels were different sizes for the eyelet to go on the hub. But here is my question, I tried one on the rear and it wouldn't fit. So I went and put a different one on the rear and it fits. So I went to put the one I had just tried on the rear (that didn't fit) on the front, and it didn't fit. I only have four wheels with the truck and they all came off of it. But this one just doesn't want to go on the truck. So here's my thoughts. A hub could have been replaced and was a smaller size for the eyelet of the wheel, maybe it was a ford wheel?

Any input on this is appreciated, I'm bum-fuzzled!

Also, there's a vin number above the rear of the drivers side wheel on the frame, number 1271847 I tried using a website to decode, and it only gave me an error. And for the door tag, I lost it. So there goes that vin number!

Sounds like you have one ford wheel that do have a smaller ID in the wheel center. Did you ever drive this before?. While it will fit the bolt pattern a ford wheel will will not tighten without distorting the wheel as it is not tight to the brake drum because of the center hole!

Must have had one wheel that fit, But.

I haven't gotten to drive it yet. The truck was given to me by my grandfather who drove it throughout the 70's. I just don't know which side the wheel come off of. For the lack of a garage I didn't get to try the other side of the pickup.
