40plyrod Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Hey guys need your thoughts, I'm trying to purchase a few upper grill whiskers for my '40 Plymouth, but I'm having a bit of trouble trying to send payment for them. It seem everything the seller and I try has some obstacle blocking the transaction. I've never had this much trouble buying anything in my life, it's not the sellers fault either the trouble is coming either from ebay or paypal or both. It's not a complete set, 2 for one side 1 for the other which means I have to source out the missing ones however right now I don't have any. I guess maybe this is a question for the classified section though just wondering if these are going to be more trouble than they're worth. If I am finally able to purchase them will finding the missing ones be like finding a nice reasonably priced p15 dash clock? My argument for continuing this transaction regardless of how difficult it becomes is they haven't made these pieces since 1940 and they're are very specific to that year. It's not a accurate restoration though so I may have other options. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 What is going on? You should be able to get his email go to paypal and click send money. Put the email and the amount in and done. As far as buying incomplete ones if the price is reasonable I'd go for it you never know what will come along next. Quote

Don Coatney Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Yesterday I made an attempt to make an e-bay purchase using PayPal. Seems that PayPal would not accept my Visa card for some unknown reason. I called e-bay and could not understand the off shore girl who answered the phone. So I by-passed e-bay and went directly to the vendor. Got a better deal and they had no problem accepting my Visa card. Just another reason I no longer buy or sell anything on e-bay. I go to e-bay for entertainment only sort of like reading the funny papers. Quote
