Chester Brzostowski Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 I met up with Jim Yergin this Saturday at the Chesapeake City Car Show in eastern Maryland. Click on the link below for the picture story. PS... That's not Jim's car behind me. http://www.1948plymouth.info/1948p15/photo_gallery/Picture_Stories/CCCS-08232014.htm Cheers, Chet... 2 Quote
1940plymouth Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Thanks for sharing, both Plymouths look great Quote
Jim Yergin Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 It was great to see Chet and his wife Melissa and to have the chance to see his repainted car. It looks terrific. While small compared to West Coast shows, this show has one of the largest woodie gatherings on the East Coast. There were 11 woodies in the designated woodie area. One of them was a 1936 Plymouth with a 1955 Dodge V8. Jim Yergin 1 Quote
Jim Yergin Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Most of the cars in the show were modified. Here are some of the Mopars I saw. Jim Yergin 2 Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 "Delmarva", that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Back in the mid/late '70's when I belonged to Action Vans van club, there was a Delmarva Van Club. Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 I wonder why that Ford flathead V-8 only has three exhaust ports on the drivers side ? Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 I wonder why that Ford flathead V-8 only has three exhaust ports on the drivers side ? The 2 center cylinder exhaust ports are Siamese'd much the same way the intake manifold on a Mopar flathead. Quote
falconvan Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Very cool, the turbo charged Econoline looks like a fun ride. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted August 25, 2014 Author Report Posted August 25, 2014 Very cool, the turbo charged Econoline looks like a fun ride. The engine extended around a foot or more into the truck bed. Definitely a sleeper at any traffic light. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Chet, Looks like you are enjoying retirement way to much. Don't you miss G$D? Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted August 25, 2014 Author Report Posted August 25, 2014 Chet, Looks like you are enjoying retirement way to much. Don't you miss G$D? Not even a little bit ... I am busier then ever, but no stress and no Monthly Reports... Ya ! I enjoy working with tools rather than corporate managers, too much political BS. The only downside is no paycheck but so far it's well worth it !!! I should have done it sooner. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Glad you are enjoying yourself. Quote
greg g Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 To bad Joe wasn't quite ready. Glad you guys got together. Keep in mind for a gathering next summer. Looking at the Delaware river area so we can attract some of you Delmarva guys. Quote
