pflaming Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Got my new shop where I can now start wrenching again, so got to get Phoenix back on the road. The 'bakelite" on the steering wheel is shot, I do not think it would hold up. SO. . . I've got several nice CAR wheels but the hub to the shaft is different. Any way, short of a new steering shaft of using a car wheel on a truck post? Quote
ggdad1951 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Hank I have a VERY nice steering wheel for a B1/B2....no cracks and in GREAT condition! Quote
pflaming Posted August 7, 2014 Author Report Posted August 7, 2014 I'm looking at the wheel this morning, it appears to be better than I had remembered, so I am going to smooth it out and repaint it. Going to leave the cracks, they are a part of the Phoenix experience. Quote

Jeff Glad to hear you are back on it. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 The steering wheel will be the only thing painted on this truck. Will stand out like a black eye. Quote
