fstfish66
If you're talking about the gray primered wagon, that's mine. I haven't posted here in quite some time. I am getting ready to paint mine, 2 tone.....oyster white on the bottom, twilight turquoise on the top. I also just put on new black chrome 5 spoke American wheels. I hope to get some pics soon. Really like how Don is doing his wagon and using the new Hemi. I have been following his build and I remember the time it does take. He is doing a great job and I want to see it when it's done. yes i was referring to you,,, i was parked the row behind you,,,show seemed bigger then last year,,,sorry for your loss,,hope to see your car again,,maybe ill make it to a potts town cruise nite this year,,,
chopt50wgn
You know ,have been a member here for many years and have never met in person anyone from the site. Would be a cool to meet up and am sorry we both missed each other at Eastwood. The show was bigger than last year ,they said it was about 500 cars. They were turning them away before lunch, no where to put them. The last Pottstown show will be the Labor day event. Weather pending, it should be a big one this year. rhelm1953
Hi there, new to the forum and just read through your project forum. I like the car and the modern hemi is sweet! I have a 1950Special Deluxe and am planning on dropping in a late model Pentastar V6. I am curious as to what you are using for front suspension, it looks like you are staying with the stock A-arms with relocated front shocks and heavier sway bar. It also looks like you have some sort of rack conversion for a steering box. I need power sttering for my Plymouth for the wife and will not use another Mustang II type front suspension. Is your rack power and what did it come from? Also did you go with an aftermarket column or modify the stock column?
doctor dirt
Great build very nice work and a hell of a wagon! As for a color suggestion, if your going outside the MoPar chart your primer base is PERFECT for a PPG color called "Vanilla Shake". I used it in the early 90's on a 69' AMC AMX, its a great color if the lighter tones move you. It's simular to your base. A 1/4" burnt orange and 1/8" royal blue pin strip on the Vanilla Shake is a killer combo. Good luck the car will look great in any color.............. Doc. wayfarer
Just a couple of random thoughts... First, how is your daughter doing? Did you manage to get the computer security issue resolved? Process? Was the wiring harness just removed as-is from the donor car and unused bits left disconnected? Any foreseeable issues? Lastly, given the somewhat small working quarters the results are even more impressive.

I am using the stock suspension with Fatman dropped uprights and Aerostar coil springs with one coil removed. The sway bar is from a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I also used Fatmans Cavalier steering rack mount kit. The steering column is a GM truck unit that I shortened to fit. Lastly, given the somewhat small working quarters the results are even more impressive. My daughter is all healed up and has completed therapy. She has limited strength in her forearm but she still has it and her great personality. She is a trooper. Thanks for asking. I just got in from the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville. I expect the computer today. The wiring is a new unit from Hot Wire Auto in Mena Ar. Supposed to be a low to no maintenance set up. We will see. I do get a lot done in my shop. It is 26x36 with two stalls. I keep thinking about removing the wall in the center but I am also fixing daily drivers on one side so in the winter I only loose heat in that side when I take them in and out. The wife and I looked at a lot of different colors at the Nationals this weekend. That causes a great deal of confusion. A lot of people like the yellow. I am still up in the air.
