pflaming Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 A neighbor down the street noticed a peeping tom at his neighbor's house and called the neighbor who slipped outside caught the 'tom' and proceeded to beat him up quite badly. He then called 911 and the cops came. They asked him why he hadn't called sooner and he replied, ' I couldn't, my cell phone was stuck in my hand!" Gotta like a guy like that! Quote
Grdpa's 50 Dodge Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 I cant call 911 cause I cant find the eleven on my phone. Thought maybe the rest of your story was that the good guy got charged for assault??? Quote

Lumpy Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 The fastest police response to my house is 20 minutes. We call 9mm. However, that reminds me of the time the neighbor across the road called me, and said he had called the sheriff, but there was a guy peeping in the windows of the house to my left. (about 200 yards away) So I go out, take my "big eyes", field glasses, full moon light, and sure enough there's a guy creeping around and looking in the windows. So, went and got my HK93, and watched him, and then he walks/creeps back to the road, and starts coming in my direction, so I went out to the road and met/stopped him. I said "hi partner, what ya doing?" and he reaches in his coat real fast, just like one would draw a pistol from a shoulder holster...!!! I flicked off the safety, and took up the first slack on the trigger, (military, 2-stage trigger) and really was about to shoot him, and he pulls out this blue bag, like the old Black Velvet bags, shows it to me, and starts talking about the president and some other weird stuff...babbling. Just a lost mentally ill guy looking for a place to sleep, or something to eat. I tried to talk to him, engage him until the sheriff got there, but he finally walked off. Should have offered him some food and drink, but didn't think of that at the time. We (the neighbor who called me) followed him for a bit, but then he took off into the woods. Sheriff finally got there (30 minutes after the call) and drove around but never saw/found him, and we never saw him again. !11?!?!? Anyhow, sure am glad I didn't pull that trigger. Really would have sucked. ken Quote
