TrampSteer Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 It's funny that Amazon has two pages, one for each truck cover. Blue Link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0395250188/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Red Link http://www.amazon.com/Truck-Rebuilding-Worn-Out-Post-Technological-Adventures/dp/0874517559/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 I ordered from the blue link and then followed-on with an email to the chosen bookstore to cancel the order if it was that red chebby junk. I didn't order from the Amazon warehouse because it reminds me too much of an Indian Jones movie ending .... http://mentalfloss.com/article/61249/13-secrets-amazon-warehouse-employees Quote
JerseyHarold Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 FWIW, another website for online book-buying is half.com The prices are often more reasonable than Amazon. Many Amazon sellers don't have the book they're selling...if someone orders it, they buy one on 'half', mark-up the price a lot, and have the 'half' seller ship it directly to their customer. Quote

Desotodav Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 I just ordered a copy of this book here in Oz. The old version of the book looks better (than the later edition) as it has the old blue Dodge truck on the cover. I suspect that I have some fun reading ahead! 3 Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 It's a fun read. I got one a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Especially having had gone through my own Old Dodge rebuild. At times the mental imagery was pretty vivid. Merle 2 Quote
