My old timey compound gauge tops out at 7 but I believe 5.5 is correct.

the gauge is made for a multitude of application Don...so pump scale on the gauge is marked accordingly...on todays cars that would be useless gauge if testing anything over a throttle body (14 PSI)...MPFI will hit on the average 43 and higher PSI regulated..pump pressure as high as 90PSI
