eric wissing Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 My deepest respect to all who are and have served. Times sure change or I am getting old. My brother reminded me of the parades we went to as kids, Loads of WWI vets. Our Grandfather was one. His father was mad as hell that he had joined the Army while at college. He had left Denmark then Sweden to avoid the military and his Son volunteers. I imagine my son will look back in 20 years find it hard to believe that his Granfathers were WWII vets. Eric Quote

Don Coatney Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Paid a visit to Arlington National Cemetery today. I waited until the Bush crowd was gone but it was still full of people and HOT. bob_amos Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Here, here!!! So often we forget that very fact. We are here and free because of sacrifices that others have made for us. We should never let that stray far from out thoughts. Not just on this day but on every single day that we enjoy these freedoms. Quote
eric wissing Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Don, Thanks for the photos. I just got off of the phone with my son he was at Arlington while The Official Crowd was there. He is taking some training for an Internship in London. He's not sure what exactly, maybe Chimney Sweep. Eric Quote
