Frank Contact me.  I made some just from a Heat resistance gasket material that I got from NAPA.  These are not the stamped out die cut style I cut them by hand and they will work for your use since you have a driver car and not a show car.

Thanks, Shel !  What kind of material does it appear to be made from ? (ie: is it some sort of heat insulator, or more of an anti-squeak ?)

Heat insulator to keep the bi-metal spring from having direct contact with the exhaust manifold.

Stiff sandwiched gasket.

ASBESTOS still is a miracle material and, contrary to popular belief, it is NOT banned by the EPA. It is still used in many materials like gaskets, brake lining, and insulation...

I picked -up a sheet of "core-bestos" material from my local "mom'n'pop" jobber;  it is a perforated steel core, coated / impregnated with an asbestos-like fibre material.  It is about 3/32" thick.  An 11" x 28" sheet was $15.

The sort of stuff you would use to make intake/exhaust gaskets or exhaust flange gaskets...

... or Sisson choke gaskets...  :)

Thanks to everyone for your replies !
