Gents,

I need help identifying this spring. I was putting on a new high beam switch and crawled under the car and found this spring laying there. Story of this build i tell you!! It is 8 inches long and found on the floor below the steering column area. Doesn't mean that it didn't come off something in another area, but i am trying to give you as much as i can as i know this is a dumb question. Could use your help! thanks

Looking on eBay to see if I could match it up it looks like the brake pedal pull back spring. What do you guys think?

Throttle return, if I remember correctly the brake return springs are more beefy.

Bigger question is your throttle linkage missing the return spring?

Being you found it inside the car I would guess its the spring for the seat adjusters. However I seem to recall they had only had a space between coils and hook at one end.

Not the best answer Ed. Re read the question. Found under the car on the floor. Best answer was already selected but I am not sure why????

I did check on the master cylinder and it was missing the pull back spring for the brake pedal. I was able to make one yesterday and she is back working again. Thanks for all of your help!

Glad the car is back working.

How's Creedmoor these days? I lived in Henderson from 1998-2010.

Lots of tree-lined country highways and byways for some old-school motoring.

Creedmoor is the same. Only 2stop lights down town and a couple of more pharmacys popping up as usual. There are some old school guys in the area. Kind of tight nitched around here also. There are a lot of back roads to drive on around here though. I won't be driven anytime soon though as I keep on having issues with the car. Wheel cylinder went out today. Is what is it!!
