pflaming Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 I had a four speed, syncronized transmission which I guess might be worth $50. But freight would be excessive so I just kept it. At the BBQ I was visiting with a member and he stated that he had a non-syc 4-spd that was faulty and wished he had a good 4ssyc. I told him of mine and that if he wanted it it was his. In short we made arrangements for the switch. In the process he asked about my Cherokee rear axle. I picked one up for him from my source, he came down, reimbursed me for getting the axle and gave me an extra $50,00 for my troubles. In one transaction, i got the tranny out of my garage and made a new friend. "Cast your bread upon the waters and it shall return unto you in several fold". There is so much more to this forum than just good information. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 you did good Paul....and that is the important part..... Quote
Boss Hog Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Thanks Paul, Getting ready to install the tranny this week. Will have to switch the flange and parking brake from my old one. The bolt pattern for the flange on the syncro tranny is smaller than the 1948. Thanks again, Jerry Quote
