judsonhauling Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Over the past year of restoring my dads truck and keeping my truck on the road I have come accross several hurdles. Mostly parts and or contacts for things. In that time you all have been there for me, either providing useful information or just shipping me parts. Not taking my offer to pay and just sending them. I can not tell you how grateful I am. When I am done with this ground up restore I promise to return the favor and pay it forward. Again, THANK YOU!! Restoring his truck was a dream of mine and with all your help its almost done!!! (Almost is a relative term as in restoring cars you are never "done") James. 1 Quote
Monkey Truck Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I agree. This is definitely a great place to hang out. I could have never done the things I've done to my truck without the help and info I've gathered from the great people on this forum. Quote

drillmastertommy Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 My truck may be a little old for the pilothouse group, but this has been the easiest to use and most helpful forum. My flathead runs like a dream as a result! Quote
Young Ed Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 My truck may be a little old for the pilothouse group, but this has been the easiest to use and most helpful forum. My flathead runs like a dream as a result! Don't worry. I now have a 48 plymouth but I joined in when I only had a 46 dodge 1/2 ton. Quote
48Dodger Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Nice post james.....I'm behind on my reading due to the BBQ.....glad to hear you had a great experience. 48D Quote
pflaming Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Jame's experience is my experience. Graybeard walked me through the engine, then a host of others after that. I too received some very special free parts. I now keep most everything I do not need and share them forward. The last were a five speed tranny and five LH brake drum bolts. Currently the most helpful item is the chat feature. The best way to a quick solution. 'Try it, you'll like it'! 1 Quote
