Can anyone tell me where I can find a crank bolt to hold the frt. pully hub on my crankshaft? Mine is

gone.

If not, can anyone tell me the dia. & pitch of the threads, also the length so I can get one to fit?

Thanks, Paul

Paul, I had a spare but it went with the spare engine......lol.........but, I just checked the socket I bought to fit it and its definately 1 & 13/16th and it was a fine thread, so if I were chasing one I'd be looking for something around 1 &1/8th to 1 & 1/4 UNF, with a head size of 1 & 13/16ths..........sorry can't be much more help.......andyd

Have you looked in the buy/sell section of this website? There are several folks who are parting out vehicles listed there. They may have what you are looking for wvwn if it is not speciffically listed. As I have said not all crankshaft bolts are the same size and configuration. The one posted for fifty bucks on ebay may not be the one you want as it has the hand crank pawl. The one pictured below does not have the pawl.

VINTAGE POWERWAGON   Some have the handcrank and some don't and there are three diferant size scoket heads, but they all will work the same.  Also get the star lock warsher with it.

OUTSTANDING INFORMATION PROVIDED FROM ALL OF YOU. This site with all of you is GREAT...../////////

Thanks very much.... Do you think by tightening up this missing bolt the vibration will also be repaired?

I rev the eng. up, not knowing what rpm, but you can feel the harmonic vibration. I thought a metal to metal frt. rubber mt.

was the problem. Just happen to lightly pry on the balancer when I was centering the new frt. mt. studs in place when

I saw the harmonic walk out to the end of the crank......

The bolt "should" stop this vibration or at the very least stop the crank pulley from visiting its friend the radiator.......lol........BUT also check the pulley to hub attachment.........on my 1941 Plymouth I had a noise that we originally thought was the water pump........replaced the pump.....still had the noise.......turned out to be the rivets holding the pulley onto the crank hub had some wear and were allowing the pulley to move just enough to set up a noise and vibration........couldn't  find the same size pulley so ended up tack welding the hub and pulley together and stuck a speedy sleeve & new seal on the timing cover whilst there........lol.............fun time all round...........andyd
