p15estep Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 well i'm taking apart this 48 Chrysler and up under the dash on the passengers side is the heater fan and core and such but up under the dash on the driver's side is what looks to be the same. what is this, another heater,ac, i don't know. can someone shed some light on this for me. thanks Quote
greg g Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Some of the cars were equiped with dual heaters, one per side. If coolant line coming of the rear of the engine has a t splitting it to two hoses one going to each side, that's likely what you have. The outlet is usually a vent in the door end of the kick panel of the foot well. Check Normscoupe on the members list. He has a link to his site with some fairly good pics of a similar system in a Plymouth. Quote
Young Ed Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Are you parting out the Chrysler? I'm actually looking for some parts off a dual heater Quote
p15estep Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 i am parting out the chrysler. just got into the interior dash area Quote
claybill Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 there was also a special option. on the side ...by the drivers knees and pass knees were large vents that aimed lots of the air toward the back seat. bill Quote

De Soto Frank Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 If that Chrysler being parted is a C-39 or C-40 straight-eight, I'm looking for a hood and front fenders... Thanks, Frank McMullen Quote
