I don't know why - is it just me? No one else seems to screw up like I do (or at least admit it).

I have been trying to find rocker molding clips. There are so many different kinds.

I bought the molding probably a year ago and didn't pay much attention to it. I took them in and had them professionally polished. Today I tried to figure out how to install the stainless - it is too small!!! What I bought is 72" - the same size as my 2 door sedan. I screwed up again. And I still don't know what the clips look like. My advice is don't buy used ones.

I think I'm into old cars to punish myself.

All the p15s use the same rocker moulding so are you sure they are P15??

See what I mean? There are different clips. I bought some once that I found were for a DeSoto. $159 does seem a little steep for the ones on e-bay.

Another question: if I put my 72" rocker molding on e-bay what would be a fair price. I don't remember what I paid for them. Plus another $50 to have them polished.

Nothing is ever easy.

Can't think of the name of the place in Pa. restoration specialities???? They will know what you need. Tim Adams knows who I am talking about.

ye either pass..or pay to play..sad part is there are folks who will dropt he dime just to avoid the aggrivation of time lost in avain attemp to find them..so...if either is not really good for you..then this may be just the motivation you need to create your own mounting system..trust me..if someone gets down on their belly to look at these they are the proper position for a swift boot...

My parts manual shows the rocker mouldings (1149-182 for R) and

(1149-183 for L) are used on all body styles......

This is how the trim mounts on a four door......stops before the rear fender,

and does not go completely onto the front fender.

A two door sedan..........trim fits the same way..........

BobT - YOU ARE RIGHT!

I must have measured wrong. It's an optical illusion. 72" rocker molding does fit both the 2 and 4 door sedan.

silly me :o

Glad you now have that figured out. I didn't know if you had tried to

put the trim on the 4 door or were placing it not quite correctly.

.....it IS sort of an optical illusion.

Well, anyway.......happy to be of help.

Your car is looking good, like a P15 should. (Kinda sounds like an old

time commercial doesn't it?):)
