DCurrent Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 I haven't seen one of these tags up close, but mine has lost the color. 1948 P-15. I'm talking of the tag that is mounted on the drivers side cowl panel. It looks like it should be red from pictures that I see occasionally. Does this tag have any meaningful info such as model numbers or the like? Are reproduction tags available? Darren Quote

meadowbrook Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Hello all. My 50 Meadowbrook has a cowl tag displaying a detroit address. Can anyone tell me if that is the plant address or just the company hq address? Where were these cars built? Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) I am no Guru in this, but I think you can tell the manufacturing location by the serial number of your ride. Please read the "reference" chapter of the excellent P15-D24 info pages... http://www40.addr.com/~merc583/mopar/framesets/referenceframeset.html Further models in the below link... http://www.ply33.com/misc/vin#decodeNotes Factories, P19, 1950: Detroit from 18,041,001 to 18,119,094; Evansville from 24,012,001 to 24,035,538 Los Angeles from 28,004,001 to 8,009,848 San Leandro from 28,503,501 to 28,511,177 Edited December 26, 2012 by Uncle-Pekka Quote
