plymouthtomas Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Hello Everyone Yesterday I'm on my way home at a stop light ready to go, I look up and saw big yellow school bus coming toward me nothing I could about it, appear to be doing about 35 to 40 mph well it hit seven cars mine included. A total of seven cars were hit before the school bus stop, we were told that the brakes had went out, It not a good feeling knowing life is about over Well all the cars are in very very very bad shape, but my car did not fall apart, good old Detroit metal stood the impact. I'm walk away no problem (lucky) five people were sent to the hosiptal in the other cars three people in ready bad condition Just be careful out there thanks Quote
Young Ed Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Sorry to hear that! As someone who's also been in an accident in their plymouth I know only too well how heatbreaking it is. Glad you are ok and I hope all the others will be ok too. Quote
captden29 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 plymouth, sorry about the car, glad you are ok. i drive a school bus. brakes do not just go out. they are air brakes. if the air pressure drops you are warned in advance withe a visual and audio warning that you are losing air pressure. you still have brakes when the warnings appear. if all your air dumps at once the brakes come on automatically and lock the rear wheels. i used to investigate accidents. driver error is at the top of the list for reasons accidents occur. more info is needed to figure this one out. capt den Quote
Niel Hoback Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 Thank goodness you are alright. We have enough members in the hospital now without you too! Quote
