Are you talking about the small flat piece of metal that connect to the door frame and then prevents the door from swinging all the way out and stops the door in an open position. If this is what you are looking for this is called the door check arm.

try this search on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Military-Dodge-WC-M37-M43-M201-Powerwagon-truck-door-stop-check-arms-NOS-/300717228813?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460424c30d&vxp=mtr or try this link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1939-1947-Dodge-Plymouth-Truck-Power-wagon-Door-Stops-New-/140840381067?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20cabdaa8b&vxp=mtr

Rich;

Thank you for the links....neither had come up in the search's I was doing. Sorry for the incorrect terminology.

So it looks like either of these items will work in place of the originals?

I kind of like the idea of using new ones.....might actually hold the door open. :D

For a while anyhow.......

although I dont have one to compare, are the ones on the bay the same as the ones on our trucks??? I seem to remember they looked vastly different, but what do I know.......:eek:

yes those on Epay are different than ours. I'd think I'd have time to pull one for Jeff.

Tom, got the pair from Mark, one didnt have the rubber cushion on it, so I pulled out the spare one I had to see if it had a cushion, it did, but after sizing it up with the pair I got from Mark, it is about 3/8 of an inch shorter. Now I am confused. Did different year doors have different length stops??? Once I get this figured out, I will see about sending you the extra as long as the longer ones will work for me. I dont have the doors hung or I would just check.
