Plymouthy Adams Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Tim,What elec pump do you use that don't bus your ears off? electric fuel pump noise is directly portional to the soild contact it makes with the car's body..isolate these in proper fashion and you will not have noise of any great concern..remember that a proper setup will have the pump at the rear near the gas tank in pusher configuration..I use isoation stand offs to mount my pumps and the facet electronic (here we go again) is my pump of choice..also I ensure that the pump and wiring is also shielded against possible damage from gravel and such from the road and offer some protection against snag by making them a skid style set up..IF you have dual exhasut..do shield the unit from heat..also if duals I recommend that if going beside the tank that you also offer shield here and at the position where it crosses beneath the fill tube.. Niel Hoback Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 I got mine from Rockauto, around $35. You can get them either 6 volt or 12. It's been working very well. I like being able to hear the motor fire on the first crank no matter how long its been sitting. Quote
