Hey all, pulled the 55 Fargo out of the garage tonight, and noticed on the right inner fender and running board, some nasty sludge.

I felt thsi combo or gravel, silt and oily calcium based dust control srpay.

This stuff is nasty, and any exposed metal withouta coating, becomes instant corrosion city.

I must have driven ona fresh patch of dust controlled gravel, this stuff is very nasty, and any metal it attached too, will rust big time.

Years back it was oil and gravel, that wasn't a bad thing, this stuff is real bad, and no doubt has been suteing all of my vehilces, where the mtal is not protected.

Another hindrance of trying to enjoy and old car or truck on thsi crummy gravel road, if it ain't the dust, it's the slimy corrosive dust control

Not sure what an 'immagrant' is, I guess immigrant. There have been some studies in California that show that the illegals pay more in taxes than they collect in benefits mostly because they are afraid to apply for benefits for fear of being deported. Us native born folk would have to either pay more taxes or get lower benefits if the illegals weren't subsidizing us.

Racing at Bonnevile is the only trouble I have with corrosion. Living in the valley, we're low humitity and and dry most of the year. But the salt I bring home is a bear to get out and is the reason I dont bother to paint it up nice. I never heard of dust control chems before...how did it get sludgy?

Thanks for the link to procon.org That is an interesting site that I'll add to factcheck.org, snopes.com and wikipedia when I'm reading up on issues.

Magnesium chloride, it's a killer.

I own a toxic chemical waste producing munitions plant and because I contribute half a million dollars to your campaign fund, not only do you let me get away with proper toxic waste disposal, (as if there really is any) you actually buy it from me and let me dump it all over Rockwood's rural route...Good Deal!

So that's how it works....

Golf anyone?,
