Darbone85737 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 I'm new here but I've already been greatly helped by the group. I thought I might pay back some of that help and assist others. I was looking for information re: the Carter BB E7T2 carb on my P18 sedan. Specifically I wanted a schematic of the carb and mayne some set-up information. I didn't find anything here so I searched and found a place that sells a .pdf file download that seems to cover almost every BB carb since the 30's. I bought the download and have it available. This is not copyrighted information, merely scanned copies of Carters documents together with documents from the US Military to be used in working with these pieces. In total the file has 141 pages of information and can be searched by carb model number or vehicle application. Is there a place on this site where the file can be uploaded so others may have access to the information? Quote
Mark D Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Would be nice to have a location where documents could be shared. I belong to a Yahoo group for Kubota tractors, it has a file share site as part of the group. Not sure this site has that feature available to it. By the way your offer is commendable! Thanks for that. Quote
greg g Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 The main page hosts a section of downloaded information. I believe you need to contact GTK the webmaster and forward him the pdf or what ever format you have saved stuff in and he will upload it. Thee is a lot of good stuff there. You could also post it as a link to the Technical discussion section. Quote
Mark D Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 I stand corrected. Greg is right. My book mark for the forum page is set to take me straight to the forum so I had to go back and look. Quote
fatFreddie Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 I was looking for information re: the Carter BB E7T2 carb on my P18 sedan. That carb is not what your 1949 Plymouth came with. Either the carb has been replaced or you have a different engine in your car. The original carb is either a D6H1 or D6H2 Carter Ball and Ball. The E series Carters were mainly used on truck and industrial engines. Quote

I'm not really concerned about originality. My car is a driver and I'm not a rivet-counter. As long as it runs well it matters not to me if it's correct, but thanks anyway. BTW this file has all the information for the D6H1 and H2 carbs along with a ton of others. I'll send the file to the admin and he can do with it as he pleases Thanks again. Quote
Darbone85737 Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 Can you e-mail? I can, but I thought if it could be loaded on this site everyone could have access to the information without having to be emailed.; I'll send the file to the admin today Quote
Stay Lucky Ren Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Are you willing to email? I only ask because I already ripped my E7T2 and was planning to rebuild ASAP .... don't know how long it will take for the doc to post on the site, which leaves my 50 B2B is curbbound until then Quote
claybill Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 interesting to compare the internals ,jets etc, with the E series and the D6's. i know the throat is larger....i think the napa rebuild kit might include parts and specs for both! maybe. check throat diameter on your E carb then measure your intake hole. the fact that both carbs work easily on your motor says something. bill Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Some E7T2 carb technical pictures of questionable quality-could not scan but you can zoom to read them them... Rob Edited November 22, 2018 by Dodgeb4ya Quote
Darbone85737 Posted April 30, 2012 Author Report Posted April 30, 2012 I haven't forgottten- I haven't been able to email the file due to it's size. It's larger than allowed by Yahoo, which serves as my ISP. Any ideas ? Quote

Rumblin Rolf Posted November 22, 2018 Report Posted November 22, 2018 What happened to this? Is the file covering the E7T2 carb available somewhere? Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted November 22, 2018 Report Posted November 22, 2018 Here's one pic thats large for clarity and I won't post the other page as I don't have the room and don't want to remove old pics. Quote
