Waiting to get my welting feet in for sewing machine and have a question about the welting that goes between top of dash and inside front wintow trim. I just had a few scraps stapled to the steel trim piece. What size was it, how far up did it go and how would I install it as I sure can't staple it to the steel like the original. Maybe try and tack sew it on using the original holes in the steel. Help and photos appreciated.

PM'd you. That's one of the nicest first posts I've seen lately but please do another with an introduction.Welcome to the forum. A lot of very helpful people here and a ton of info. Two most important words on the forum are "Search" and "Pics"

I guess introductions are in order. I have posted some information on my profile but I will add some more. My name is Ken Kaiser and I am located in Wilmington, NC. I have always had some type of project vehicle to work on since I was young. (now 50 years young) Anyway, my son and I enjoy working together on these projects, as he is now 17 years old and still likes to hang out with me. I have been married for 28 years to my wife who is now a car nut as well. I remember the first car I brought home, it had a tree still growing out if it and she thought I was crazy. Well after I completed it she got the bug as well for old steel. She now gets out there with us and helps do anything we need. She currently just had knee replacement Monday and suffered a few complications. She will be fine but she is unable to have any weight on her knee for six to eight weeks. God help her as she has only me to care for her right now! We currently have several old cars, a 65 VW, 57 oval rag top VW, 46 P-15 Business coupe and a 47 club coupe. ( I think that’s right it’s a two door with a back seat) We are new to Plymouth but when my son and I saw it the car called out to both of us and we just had to save it from its demise. So needless to say we got it home and are currently working on a body off restoration. Things are going slow right now but we hope to have the frame complete soon and get the body back on the start the east coast metal replacement process. I plan on using the Club coupe for some parts but should have plenty body and glass parts left over. So if anyone needs something let me know and I will see if I have it. If you are in need of it and I am not I will make a donation to your project to help get another old classic back on the road. I am going to post a few pics of the vent windows either here on on my profile for you. Just let me know. Thanks.

2dr with a back seat could be either a club coupe or a 2dr sedan. Does it have a similar roof/trunk to the business coupe? They should have the same doors too. If you have a full roof with a square B pillar(instead of slanted forward) its a 2dr sedan. Welcome to the group. I'm sure some of us might want those spare parts.

The vent windows should be the same and they do come out of the Inner trim piece. I PM'd you with my phone number. Give me a call sometime and we can work something out for me to get them. I have a couple of good heater fan switches if anyone needs one.
