I have my b1b drag link on the bench and am trying to figure out if it needs to be replaced. I can grab the "bolt" and wiggle it left to right, it will move about an 1/8" at the very end of the bolt. It is moving inside of the ball part. When I move the bolt and ball it seems to be somewhat smooth. How do you know if it is good or bad??

I'd say bad.

But how do you know? :)

I'd say that if there is any perceptible play it is bad. So I agree with ggdad1951 but thought I'd give you the reason too.

yah, sorry, was on the phone and couldn't type a better answer. In ANY universal type joint (ball or knuckle) play is just not good.
