My 1948 B1B108 Woodie is going into the San Diego Auto Museum for 4 months early next year and they are asking for a ton of info about the vehicle. I can give them almost everything they want to know, but I am not sure what the compression ratio or the torque numbers are for the 218 L-head engine.

Can somebody help me with these two bits of info.

Thanks,

Charles

Interesting Charles. I wonder what those numbers looked like in 1959....the last year for the L-6 in trucks ?

That would be 1960 for trucks 59 for cars.

I'll correct myself too. Actually some Power Wagons into the late 60's had an L-6

Charles: I'd love to see pictures of your woodies. Near you at the Laguana Beach Hilton is a perfect 41 Ford woodie. It sits out front most of the time. I'm sure your aware of it.

I also appreciate your and others input to us who are novices at this. My project has slowed down but not dead. I copy and paste a lot of responses and use them when I work.

Merry Christmas to all.
