Guest onerobtth Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Hello all. I have been a long time member of the 39-47 Dodge Truck group on Yahoo groups. I have really enjoyed my time there and thought I'd like to learn a little bit more about the Pilot era trucks. I live in Snohomish Wa does anyone in your group live near by? Also I may be intrested in some 39-47 parts if you have any parts trucks from this period unusable nos stuff. I would like to up grade my generator to a highe output type and am wondering if the b2b truck is also 6V ground and where I could find a generator and regulator? Have enjoyed reading your posts. We have an extensive parts list on our forum and links section you might find some of that useful since we share so many common driveline parts. Bob Harrison Quote
B1B Keven Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Welcome Bob! Yes, there are some 'north-enders' on the forum. Post up some picks of your WC. The late '49-'53 B series trucks have a 50 amp, 6 volt system. Quote
49roadster Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 I am out on Whidbey Island. I picked up a B1B last July so I am learning about these trucks also. I do have a '49 Dodge roadster and a '49 Plymouth suburban, so much of the running gear is much the same. Quote

Desotodav Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 Welcome aboard Bob - from one of the Oz members. Use the search function on generators if you haven't already done so. I don't recall too much mentioned on high output generator's though. Be sure to post some pics of your trucks for us. Desotodav Quote

Anybody have any or know of any 39-47 parts trucks? still need a bit or two. My trucks are projects as I wanted to do them up myself. I have a 47WC 1/2 ton I have been saving parts up for about 6 years as I wanted to have what I needed to do it when I tore it apart. Also have a 41 WF22 this is a rarer long chassis 1 ton truck. Don't know what you're looking for, but Jim has a complete '46 minus motor and trans. Looked like a nice project truck to me. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?pq=house+towing+clastkanie+or&hl=en&cp=4&gs_id=i&xhr=t&qe=amltIGhvdXNlIHRvd2luZyBjbGFzdGthbmllIG9y&qesig=L_8BRCwkeyMh7oKAVIlF4Q&pkc=AFgZ2tkzWMG2esldTggYKvIa0mzqzDjUMRAlhwQpujIjG881u9uJo8Z16hsHlgE4B9McM4bgUSSVuamDPU--XtXkgFGip6zJXQ&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS338&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1082&bih=694&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=jim+house+towing+clatskanie+oregon&fb=1&gl=us&hq=jim+house+towing&hnear=0x549464d87b2e94f3:0x14a3ff5e8bccd9b6,Clatskanie,+OR&cid=14708553479229773401 Quote
