azmichael1
I recently posted an inquiry about new electrical problems I was having. I was shocked when I received a barrage of messages from people who for some unknown reason, chose to completely misinterpret my message in which I attempted clarify that my inquiry was a completely new electrical problem and not a repeat of previously asked questions and to treat me with disrespect and disdain I have seldom seen . With such comments as "Snarkey remark " from one person or "Do you want us to hold your hand as we walk down Mamby Pamby Lane " from another person and "If you think we are going to magically do it for you, It 's not going to happen. All this from individuals who have absolutely no idea how much time, effort ,money and research I have put into this vehicle. All this from individuals who have no idea who I am. Let me tell you who I am I am a 64 year old retired fire district medical tech who has seen things I wish I hadn't and was awarded for bravery three times in my career...........that's who I am I am the father of a son who came home from the war in a box the size of a box of cigars because that's all they could find of him........that's who I am. I am the father of a daughter whose wish it is to complete the '48 Plymouth her brother started in tribute to him and although I know very little about the task at hand, I will do whatever it takes to help her complete it ........that's what dads do and ........that's who I am I am the guy that may have to ask for information from those wiser than I and willing to share their acquired wisdom ,maybe many times because I just don't know..........that's who I am. I am the man who was (IS) shocked and offended by those few who chose mob mentality to verbally chastize and embarass me from afar........that's who I am. And to them I ask ..................................................... WHO THE HELL ARE YOU ?
randroid
azmichael1, I recall your post and remember seeing the "snarky remark" comment you mentioned. As the post was one to which I had little to contribute I stopped following it to leave the answers to those better informed than I and I missed the other more curt replies, and I suppose it is better that I did. This is not the HAMB or any of several other forums I have visited where language of that sort is the norm, and I feel embarrassed as a member that anyone here would speak to you in such a manner. Please accept my sincerest apologies for such comments in the name of this forum. I can only think and hope that such language will not be tolerated in the future. There may be a person or two on here who irritates another member from time to time but not even then have I read such abusive chatter. There is nothing more I can possibly say other than I sincerely hope you will accept that we have all voiced, at one time or another, our mutual disdain for such sophomoric drivel. -Randy
Robert Horne
azmichael1, Stay with us, you will find that for the most part, people here are in a similar situation as you, in your search for answers to a project. I am 63, and have been working on old cars as long as I can remember, and still learn something new very often. I forget alot of stuff very often also. The Goldwing bike club I was in used the motto, "for fun and safety". That is the values I hold with my Plymouth/Dodge projects. Best of Luck, Bob.. Don Coatney
By doing a quick forum search I found this thread that tells who the hell everyone is. Plymouthy Adams
I must say I am quite surprised by this recent post on an issue that should have been left at rest...I just this morning had to delete most of my messages as I had again hit the magic 50...I do wish now I had the reply to my PM that you sent where you admitted he had made a mistake in coming to the forum asking questions and getting answers and yet not heeding advice given and let the good folks know what was going on by making the test recommended and giving feedback..why his change of heart here today I have not a clue...I am sorry for the loss in his family, only you can really say this is an excuse for your sudden change in heart..further, as I was also one who replied to his thread but in a manner to point out the lack of communication..I feel lumped in with the so-called bad boys of flathead land and by your answer to my PM and then coming forth on the forum with answers to those who asked about certain situations with the wiring..I figured the light had come on and we were making progress...it is funny how just when you think things may be looking up..you get taken aback..and this is the very thanks one gets for actually trying to help smooth over a situation and get it headed back on track..I am not so much angry as I am disappointed..call me confused in Elko... azmichael1
In the message below it is suggested that I may be using "family Loss" as an excuse for addressing the matter in my original posting......What ? My posting was never directed toward this individual and has absolutely nothing to do with them so why would they make such a morbid , insensitive and hurtful statement in a very public forum ? People express concerns on here very often.....are they all experiencing "family loss" and using it as an excuse. It seems as though others can be as offensive as they choose to be but If I were to say something like that to someone here I would probably be booted off immediately. All this because a select few (they know who they are) chose to start dissention among us and then step away and watch from the shadows and snicker this has certainly made for a memorable Thanksgiving
Dodgeb4ya
I too apologize for that same select group of inconsiderate old time members who seem to have to antagonize people who are new here or are long term members on this forum for asking questions in a manner they don't think is to their way of liking. They need to learn how to be a LOT more courteous to all forum members. Please don't let these inconsiderate members drive you away. You will find that this is the best old MoPar forum of all! 99.9% of our members are the best!! Ash can the rest. Bob
Tom Skinner
azmichael, I apologize for my unfounded remarks to you. It was wrong. I am sorry for behaving like a fool. I will not make comments like this again on this forum. I hope you can see your way past my comments. Respectfully, Tom Skinner
