Plymouthy Adams Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 as I did not take my camera...but I drove the 54 to a cruise in tonight...then on north to a friends house..back to the cruise and then on to home...approx 100 miles...biggest trek it has made since I have owned it... Quote
RobertKB Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Tim, hopefully the first of many such longer treks. Those '53 and '54 Plymouths are sweet cars to drive! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 5, 2011 Author Report Posted November 5, 2011 cruised up the back road to town, put in some petro..rolled onto the interstate and accelerated to 70 and let big dog eat...about 25 miles later..was at the cruise...new tires and shocks gives the baby some very nice road manners..no more floating boat Quote
1940plymouth Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Congrats Tim, glad glad you and the '54 had a good time Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Good job! When can I spect to see you in my driveway? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 6, 2011 Author Report Posted November 6, 2011 Don..I would not hold my breath...as much as I would love to hit the road..even in my modern car..I am still a bit snowed under here..its slowly coming around but gots lots to do yet before I feel I have earned a vaca.. Plymouthy Adams Posted November 6, 2011 Author Report Posted November 6, 2011 Mopar report....seems there were a few there last night...two '72 Chargers, '61 Plymouth Fury 4 door...a '34 rod, '33 rod, early '70's Valiant 4 door...and of course my '54...more than I had expected to see.... the Morris Minor sitting on Jeep chassis with V8 and side pipes and an Oper GT rounded out the odd...the better works in progress to me was the late 50's Ford 2 door station wagon..but I am a wagon fan as it is so normally this would catch my eye..guess this will satisfy my curosity for cruise ins for another year.. falconvan Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Congrats, Tim! The first successful long cruise is always a great feeling. Quote
