ggdad1951 Posted February 3, 2012 Author Report Posted February 3, 2012 anyone have a good picture of the orientation of the valve on the head? Does the control go front or rear? I've got it set right now like shown below. Which would have the coolant exiting to the passenger side. 1 Quote
TheMoose Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 yep that's the way mine is more direct route to heater. Time to repaint my engine! Quote

pflaming Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Every heater takes in and exhausts air. With a little imagination, couldn't any heater be adapted? Quote

ggdad1951 Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Posted February 5, 2012 What do you need pics of? the valve on the head orientation and where the cables penetrate the firewall. Quote

ggdad1951 Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) I'm gonna work hard on gettig the heater box back in soon so I can get the coolant refilled so I can run the engine. Question: with a new firewall with the felting behind the firewall cover, should I cut that all out so the heater mounts more solid (direct) to the firewall? I think the felting won't allow it to be tightened enough to not vibrate loose? While there were holes in the original firewall cover for the mounting bolts, there was no real sound insulation in there to get in the way and be "soft" (the original cardboard did sandwich in nicely).
