It's been a long summer, The Studebaker has been a thorn in my side. I think it's on it's way out now. I saw it today and the cars top and stripe was painted when he masked the car and paints the bottom it will be time for the clear. I will bring it home then as I will put everything back on at home.

A friend of mine brought in his latest issue of Turning Wheels and I got to read the nice article by Rodney. Good work and great pictures of before during and after. You should post those pictures here because restoration is restoration and the fact that you finished it is a real inspiration.

I assume this paint job is on the '41 that you mentioned in that article.

(this covers my excuse for not finding the thread about your article ;)

Yes, that is the car I spoke of in the article. I guess you are right I should post the photos of the restoration however The old timer's on the forum know about that car and the process. They helped with it. That is how I first met Greg he was at a studebaker swap meet in Penn. If enough people request it I will post some pic's from that restoration.

I am very glad you got to read that article, it was well put together and had alot more photos then they posted. I had alot of fun doing that car however just like my plymouth I don't drive it enough. Tomorrow is my birthday and I plan on driving something to a nice eatery I might post some pic's:)

Well, woke up this morning that was a great start;)went to see the Stude and the guy finished tape work and was ready to start the bottom. I stopped him long enough to get all the trim out of the car so I could clean it up. I also got a chance to see the last process. This thing is real smoothe finally we will have it back home to put trim back on and enjoy.

Thanks Bob, Thanks everyone. I was feeling pretty good yesterday. I was up last night polishing all the chrome and stainless steel parts. The car has been the shop since I thing November all the stuff has a film on it but it cleaned up great. I have a basement of chrome so the car has to come home quick.

Getting older is something that I was not ready for however I see alot of you guy's on here that are up in age and I see life does nor end at 40. I see the the biggest thing that makes it easy is the fact that my kids are now grown and they actually help me and in some cases do the work for me. I like this as when they were young I did everything I could to make them happy and comfortable. It is a great feeling so  I not be able to run down the street but I can ride down in my Plymouth:D

Rodney,

Anne and I spent last weekend re-shingling the garage roof. It's not a very big garage, but I can tell you that might very well be the last roof job I ever do. I have no problem crawling under a car and turning a wrench, though, and that's what's important.

Happy birthday. Maybe you should treat yourself to the entire Lost in Space collection or maybe Outer Limits. No wait! Johnny Quest!!

Joe, your wife is a tropper. Fixing a roof is hard I did it down the country one year, I remember my wife kept making store runs at the end she never made on top of the roof. The thing still leaks alittle.

I have been looking for a collection of "underdog" and The lost episodes of "Bullwinkle and Rocky" Natasha was my favorite:)

Well, the car has been painted and the job looks ok. What has happened is a cat got on top of the darn car and has scrated the hood. i just can't get a break. I would grab that cat and it would be on it's way to the potomac. What can you do.
