Aaron Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 I am missing the choke knob for my '48, does anyone have a spare they are interested in parting with or know where a guy can pick these up at? The makeshift knob put on there years ago is starting to crumble, and i figure I better find an original if possible! Aaron Quote
ggdad1951 Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 "Power Wagon John" probably has some. His number should be in the thread below. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=27484 Quote
DollyDodge Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 I am not sure about the choke being next to the speaker, and the throttle next to the key. In both the 49 and 50 models we have it is the other way around (choke next to key and throttle next to speaker). Both trucks have the original throttle cable and I don't think either was ever changed. Quote
B1B Keven Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 choke next to key and throttle next to speaker X's two on both '49's I've owned. Quote
MBF Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 Yup-mine too. On both the parts and my restored trk. Choke is 2nd from right, throttle on right side. Mike Quote
NiftyFifty Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 FYI on those original knobs..if yours are looking all scungy with that paint on the part that is stamped with the name...I took all mine to the wire wheel...some very nice brass under there and the name is then even easier to read. this pis is from last year...but you can see theknobs bare Quote
John-T-53 Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 "Townwagon" (Eric's truck parts on ebay) on here might have one too. Also, AMS Obsolete (fmmpar on ebay) might have one too. They will probably want a lot for it though... Neil Riddle (The Old Plym Cafe on ebay) recently sold me some air/temp knobs for $15 each that were in great condition. Quote
Aaron Posted September 8, 2011 Author Report Posted September 8, 2011 Are the knobs the same on similar year cars too? Thought it might be easier to find at a scapyard then... Quote
