My drive through the Virginia countryside

This morning I had to drive to Midlothian, Virginia, about 100 miles from my home in Warrenton, Virginia. It was my first real long distance drive with my working overdrive and new driveshaft. The car ran great and the overdrive was truly worth all the hassle to get it to work right.

Here is a video I took on the drive. Not real clear but at 60 mph the tach reads around 2500 rpm (I have a 4.3 rear).

Hey Jim, isn't that fun to do:)You can hear the motor is running great. You were flying! I am real glad the car is running like that. Now we got to get together down at Martha's Roaring twenties Museum. When it gets cooler(Temp) I will pull my 1940 out and meet you.

Calculated my mpg for the trip. It worked out to be a little over 18 mpg compared to usual 12 mpg before the overdrive. My woodie is truly a large heavy packing crate of a vehicle but the overdrive now helps.
