hkestes41 Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Found this on the HAMB in the InLine Motors group. Unfortunately there is very little info other than the two photos and a couple sentences of text. Would like to know a lot more about this thing as it looks pretty cool. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=21736 Quote
TodFitch Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 I wonder how that rear engine was cooled, I don't see any plumbing for coolant to or from it... Quote

hkestes41 Posted June 15, 2011 Author Report Posted June 15, 2011 Looking at the picture from the front the frame does not appear to be boxed. With the torque that thing had to have what kept it from twisting the frame into a pretzel? Quote
david kipling Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 I am trying to find whether anyone made an ohv conversion for Chrusler's straight-9 flathead. I've been told that one was made by a company called CRIPP or CRIPPS, and that such a modified motor was used in a stock car in the fifties. Has anyone heard of an ohv conversion? Quote

yourpc48 Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 I see the manifolds. It looks like a 4bbl carb. Is there a 4bbl manifold that you can get for the little 218? I have a Rochester 4jet that I could use on it. Quote
RobertKB Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Straight 9? Probably just a typo. It always pays to preview and read your postings before submitting them. Quote
