lonkey99 Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 The throttle shaft in my carb base is very loose. Anyone have a good fix? Quote
captden29 Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 lonkey, i am not sure how to repair the looseness, but if you mention the brand and number someone may have a spare core that is rebuildable. usualy a competent rebuilder can repair your problem, give it a good rebulid and you are back to friving the car quickly. tell us where you are located and someone should be able to recommend a good carb guy. i am no good with cargs, even a 1 bbl., so i have mine done.i was lucky one time about 5 years ago and a gentleman at a car show came up to my car and asked me if i wanted to buy a carb for my 54 windsor. he gave me a price of $20, and when i went to his house he was a real collector of auto stuff. the carb was brand new and is still on the car today. good luck, but give the forum more info. capt den Quote

lonkey99 Posted June 1, 2011 Author Report Posted June 1, 2011 Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. I live in Fresno. About the only time I get up that way is when there is a swap meet in Turlock. Let me know what you want for the carb and maybe we can work something out. Thanks. Quote
