tom'sB2B Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 I was able to get my windshield wipers to run this weekend. But I'm confused on the direction the wipers are to run. I assume the right and left run opposed to each other, while mine run the same way which leaves the right wiper in the middle of the windshield when turned off. I can't figure it out. Either its an easy fix or I have the wrong motor. The picture is what my setup looks like Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 You may have one of the pivots (that go through the cowl) upside down Merle Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 and if that is not it, then one of the links at the motor output shafts needs be reveresed 180 Quote
tom'sB2B Posted April 27, 2011 Author Report Posted April 27, 2011 I pulled t!he motor and reversed the shaft and that did the trick. thanks for the help 1 Quote
J-GMan Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 Seems like that could be why my wipers end up parked like this; in the center of the windshields. So if I reverse BOTH shafts (not sure what you mean without a diagram) that should solve the issue? A prior owner must have installed the current wiper assembly incorrectly, but the wipers actually run pretty well. Quote
