I have been working steadily at getting my '48 Dodge D25 Club Coupe back together after a much needed repaint. Lining up the front end after having it all apart was a big job. Yesterday I installed the grille and it was not a pleasant job. Grille is aftermarket and like anything aftermarket it is not the same as the original. I have had this grille in the car for over 30 years and I got it to fit better this time than last, but it is still not perfect. Anyway, it is in and looks pretty good I think. Need to get the gravel guard on, the bumper supports, and front bumper. I just painted the rims and will get the new tires on shortly. It will be nice to get the old girl done as it has not been driveable for the last year and a half. Should have been less but the painter I was dealing with, although he did a nice job, was a nightmare to deal with but that's another story. Should be on the road by mid April.

First picture shows the car torn down pretty far. Second picture shows it today.

I had a good couple of days working on the car. Got the gravel guard on as well as the front bumper and bumperettes. I have had the rechromed bumpers ready to go on the car for years but waited until I got the car painted. I got them from another car I bought and re-sold for the same price so I actually got the bumpers for nothing. They were still in the paperwrap from the chromers. That is at least 12 years ago. Had to have my bumperettes rechromed this winter. Got a little more re-wiring to do on the headlights and the front end is finally back together. Got to get my interior back in but have to wait for better weather so I can get the car out of the garage as there is not enough room to fully open the doors to get the seats in. Also need to reinstall the rocker panel trim. Goal is to have it ready for the road by mid-April weather permitting.
