greg g Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Like the ventura, what was the purple thing withthe snow shovels for seats. Quote
Don Coatney Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Is the straight 8 buick a rear steer car? Looks like a lot of Foose specials. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Don, someone on the hamb said earlier that it IS a rear steer vehicle. Evidently the builder enjoys making something unusual, even if not all so practical. Sure looks cool, though. I wonder which cars won the top prizes.... Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted March 1, 2011 Author Report Posted March 1, 2011 Like the ventura, what was the purple thing withthe snow shovels for seats. I didn't get to go to the show. Photos were posted by Cruis'news magazine. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 Winner of this year's Ridler Award was this 1956 Ford convertible, owned by a man from Sapulpa, OK. It may not look like it, but one article said the car is pie sectioned from rear to front (with the front cut the most). Not everyone may like it, but (as usual) a lot of money and work went into the car Quote
mrwrstory Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I think the Bi-Five Fords are becoming a welcome alternative to the Tri-Five Chevys. How many ways can you make one special. The 283 Chevys blew the doors off the Y-Blocks back in the day, but now, with modern power, the times, they are a changin. And,...... I think they are prettier cars. Here's mine Quote
power_hungry Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I went to the show.. a lot of beautiful, cool cars, but a lot of " just because you can, doesn't mean you should", too. Quote
mrwrstory Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Yeah,....Havin a lot of money doesn't mean you got good "taste"! Quote
martybose Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Bill, That is a nice wagon! Understated, yet very crisp, and interesting updating cues. Plus I like wagons, particularly 2 door ones. I've told my wife that if we ever hit the lottery, I will buy a Caddy CTS-V wagon with a 6 speed! Zoom, zoom! Marty Quote
