Howdy! I've just signed up, and need some help. I'm working on a later Mopar project and have found the perfect wheel for the car, but, alas, I've only got one. :(

If someone here knows what this rim came from (and if you know where I can find some more!) I would be most appreciative.

It is 15 x 6, 4.5 pattern, 5 lug, with the 2 3/4 center hole. It is stamped on the inside 15 x 6 K 780. Also, it has the hubcap clips.

I tend to think this wheel is from the Mopar era that you-all specialize in, so any assistance would be thanked greatly!

Here are some photos:

Thanks again, and I will post again in the wanted section hopefully when I have more info.

Towards the mid 50s the clips started getting phased out as more and more cars had full wheel covers. 15x6 is pretty wide from what I've seen. Mostly 15x4.5 or 15x5.

Didn't some of the BIG Chryslers from the late 40's, early 50's use a six inch rim?

Possibly but I believe the cars that were big enough to have a big rim also had a 5.5 bolt pattern.

The 1946-48 chryslers used wheels with clips. Windsor 6 cyl rims generally were 15 X 5-1/2" rims with a 4-1/2" bolt pattern and the 8 cylinder cars used a larger 5" bolt pattern and hole. The Saratoga/NewYorker 8 cyl. rim is a 15 X 6 or 6-1/2" if a Crown Imperial with clips too but not what Pete needs.

I'd be looking for any 1946-52 Chrysler windsor wheel with clips. They should be 5-1/2" width.

Thanks for all the input, now I have a clearer picture. Helpful indeed, I am very grateful. I will post an ad down in the wanted department.

My friend drove a '49 Plymouth (I think that was the year) in high school, and here's an old photo of it. I learned to drive on the Studebaker. :)

Thanks again for the help.
