Don Coatney Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 I had the opportunity to have a face to face meeting with forum member Dave Erb (aka grey beard) in Hamburg, Pennsylvania yesterday morning for breakfast. Very enjoyable visit. Dave has spent most of his life working in the automotive industry in various capacities. It is always great to put a face behind a name. I look forward to another meeting Dave. Allan Faust Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 I swear, with the exception of us Canajuns and off the continent folks that with your job you are going to meet just about every single one of us face to face Don.... I'm jealous.... Allan Quote
Allan Faust Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 I gotta kind of modify that last statement..... the wife and I are planning a vacation 2 summers from now to go to disneyland....... yippee.... (for our daughters of course)..... so I'm going to be in a visiting mood.... won't stay very long, just quick visit (as my wife put it, don't want you disappearing for hours at a time, we're on vacation... and since she doesn't speak too much english, well, its understandable....) grey beard Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Alan, The important question is - does she speak MoPar? :) Quote
Normspeed Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Hey Allan, I live about 30 minutes north of Disneyland. 2 summers from now will be my last in California before my retirment and relocation to New Mexico. We'll have to get together while you're here. I don't speak French but I'm part French and I guzzle red wine with the best of them! Quote

A few summers ago the wife wanted to go to Disneyland Epcot Center and Cyprus Gardens. I wasn't too much into the Disneyland thing because thought it was for kids. That's the only part of Disneyland that we attended. That is for adults and Kids though and was interesting. Even ran into someone I went to high school with in Kentucky at the Epcot Center fireworks. Just happened we were standing next to one another to watch the fireworks. Had not seen him since high school. We also drove over to the Kennedy Space Center for a day to tour that while down there. That's only about an hour or two from Orlando. Didn't make it to Daytona, but that's just a couple of hours from Orlando too. Plus there are lots of things to look at just in the city of Orlando. You should enjoy that trip. Quote
Allan Faust Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Greg, Tim, I'll be taking the road that'll take me as close to as many members that I (or my wife) can handle...... count on that..... back roads, front roads, wanna see some country and buddies..... its a "family" vacation, so I can't spend too long, but I'm part of the family too, so I get to decide some things too... besides, I'm probably driving... and I can get lost... and ask for help from some neighbourly buddies... Norm, as for the trip.... its planning time.... lots of planning to see different things, and one thing we don't want to do is rush things..... most likely will be in spring rather than summer...
