I love to see the old machines run! A couple of years ago my wife and I and another couple visited the "Wheels Through Time" motorcycle museum in Maggie Valley, NC. The owner, Dale Walksler has well over 100 old American motorcycles, Harley, Indian, Pope, Excellsior, etc. Very near all of them run. While we were there he started a 1917 Harley for us, and rode a 1940 Crocker around the museum indoors! It is a fascinating place, even the wives enjoyed it.

I was watching the tv show "American Pickers" a couple nights ago.

They ran onto some fellow (I don't recall what town) who still runs a

motor cycle shop. He has many boxes of old cycle, including Harley,

parts from the 40s and 50s.....n o s stuff. They bought a few things,

but there was a lot more. Would be a fine source for needed parts

if one could locate him.

go to the harley museum in milwaukee you will see more bikes than you can look at in a day. we went when i went to wisconsin to pick up my truck. wish i could have spent more time in there but had to get back to ky. you could spend a weekend in there easy i would highly recommend it if your there and have the time.
