aero3113 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Check out the manifolds on this 230 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1950-60-Dodge-230-flathead-6-industrial-truck-engine-/170572816634?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b6eea0fa Quote
garbagestate 44 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 With the exhaust exiting from the front and that big pulley on the trans, It almost looks like a sawmill application. Quote
Don Coatney Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Guy states that the engine runs good and the compression results are posted. Guess I dont understand running good with 60PSI compression on the #1 cylinder and 120PSI on the rest. Quote
41/53dodges Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 that engine is a regular run-of-the-mill industrial. every industrial engine i find has a setup like that. most likely from a massey harris combine, thus the updraft carb and stack up front, as the engine is down below the right side, behind the front wheel. look up massey harris super 26 for a better pic. pacerman Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Based on the other engines the seller has, it looks like he's in the business of just cleaning and painting engines and then selling them. That engine might have cost him $50 and then he spent $10 on paint. Pretty good profit. Joe Quote
greg g Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 There is a fellow on the hamb goes by that handle from a place in KS maybe the same guy. Seems to have good reputation there, but all his items sure are pretty. Quote
Reg Evans Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Wow ! This one has a $1200 paint job. Quote
Don Coatney Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 saw this one and haven't seen this kind of manifold before: That is a long block possibly a 265 CI engine. Howerver it is overpriced. Has the optional missing transmission bolt and the very rare wire loom spring set. Quote
